4.30 pm  - 5.45 pm

Thursday, 7th November

Monday, 11th November

Wednesday, 13th November

If you wish to attend please contact the school on 01268523017 or email office@cherrytree-pri.essex.sch.uk to confirm your attendance.

We hope you can join us!

How to apply for a place at our school:

From 1st April, 2022, parents need to apply directly to the school for a place in-year (mid-year application).  It is hoped this will make the process easier for parents seeking a school place.

You will need to complete the appropriate form (see below) or available from the school's main office.  Once completed this form MUST be returned to the school.

If you have any queries about this process you can email:

admissions@cherrytree-pri.essex.sch.uk

  • If we have a space available we will send you an offer letter.
  • If we do not have a space and the request for a place is for an Infant class (Reception, Year 1 or Year 2) we will send you an Infant Class Size Refusal letter.
  • If we do not have a space and the request for a place is for a Key Stage 2 class (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6) we will send you a Refusal letter.

(We will also send a copy of the offer or refusal letter to ECC School Admissions for their information.)

This process is different to the normal Reception admission process when applying for a start of September (new academic year) place.  This continues to be administered by ECC Admissions.

The process for applying for a Nursery place at our school remains unchanged.

If you are unsuccessful in being offered a place at Cherry Tree Primary School and Nursery, we will automatically add you to our waiting list.  Should a place become available, we will contact you to arrange admission to our school.  Waiting lists are held in admission criteria order (See admissions arrangements document) and will be held for the current year of application only.  You will need to re-apply each school year.

Nursery Admissions

Please be aware that attending our school Nursery does not guarantee your child a place to the main school i.e. Reception.  You will need to apply for a Reception place in the relevant main school round of admissions.

To apply for a Nursery place please contact the school main office for an application form.

Our Nursery can accommodate up to 48 children.  These places are currently offered as 24 AM or 24 PM places.  The AM session is 8.30 am - 11.30 am.  The PM session is 12.30 pm - 3.30 pm.  Our offer is 15 hours per week over Mondays-Fridays.

From September 2024 we will be offering a small number of the 48 places as 30 hours per week places.  There will be a charge for the additional 15 hours per week.  For more information relating to this offer please contact the school.

Mid-Year Application Process

ALL MID-YEAR APPLICATION FORMS MUST BE RETURNED WITH A COPY OF YOUR CHILDS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND PROOF OF YOUR ADDRESS.
