  • Planting purple crocuses to eradicate polio.

    Wed 31 Oct 2018
Key Stage 2 children had a visit from The Rotary Club (Basildon) on Monday, 29th October.  They shared the work they are doing in their project to eradicate polio.  (We have put an item in our Year Book about this.)  Members of the Eco-council planted a number of purple crocus bulbs in the front flower beds.  The colour purple is a reminder of the indelible pen colour used to mark the little fingers of children when they receive the vital vaccine.
  • Two Johns - Internet Safety Event for adults

    Fri 19 Oct 2018
Following the workshops for our Key Stage 2 children there was a presentation for adults on Monday evening.  Thank you to everyone who attended.  We were pleased to welcome adults from other Basildon schools who found the information very useful and informative.  If you missed the event this year we have already booked the Two Johns to present workshops for our children and families again next September/October (2019).
  • Poetry Slam!

    Fri 19 Oct 2018
Well done to all of the children who took part in the Poetry Slam competition today (Friday, 19th October).  We are extremely proud of our Key Stage 2 (Year 4s - Year 6s) team who took 1st place and of our Key Stage 1 + Year 3s who took 3rd place.  The children did an amazing job of presenting their poems to the other teams from six other Basildon schools.
