 Money, Money, Money!

Use the resources below to learn about money with your child. The first links have a maths focus to make sure your children understand the value of coins and how to work out change. The other resources help your child to start understanding the importance of managing your money.

Problem Solving and Reasoning - Maths

Below are some questions and challenges for children who feel they have mastered place value and number.

These questions/challenges are meant to be tricky, so you think deeply about the maths. You do not need to complete them all at once. Two a day would be great!

Maths

'White Rose Maths' is the scheme we use to teach maths. Follow the link below to access lesson video tutorials and activities to go along with these videos - these have been specially designed for use at home. Before the closure, we were due to finish teaching 'Time' and move on to teaching fractions, so lessons about fractions have not been taught yet. It is important that the children continue to learn maths at the same rate that they would if school was open so please try to access these lessons. If you are struggling with any aspect of this, please email us to see if we can point you in the right direction!

#ThisIsPE - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%23ThisIsPE

Short two-minute videos are being posted that show parents free, fun and easy to follow PE activities for the whole family to enjoy together. There are many activities already available, but new videos are posted on YouTube at 1pm on every MondayWednesday and Friday.  You don’t need to be in PE kit and you don’t need any sports equipment. All of the videos use things that you can usually find around the home and have ideas at the end for how to simplify the activity or make it more challenging, depending on your child’s needs. Let’s get moving! J
