Welcome to the Year 2 page. Here you will find information about our curriculum, any important notices and links to useful activities/websites.

Learning Activities for Strike Days (5th and 7th July)
Additional Activities:
1. Write a diary entry about your visit to the RAF Museum or some other place that you have visited recently.
2. Practice your spellings and/or tricky words. (Remember you can use Spelling Shed to help you.)
3. Practice your number bonds and/or times tables. (Remember to use Times Table Rock Stars.)
4. Ask an adult to help you do an experiment from any of the recent Learning Together Sheets on the Home Learning section of our website.
Contributions to the Community
We are very proud of one of our Year 2 pupils (pictured below) who worked hard to produce her own range of paintings over half term. She then had her own stall at her Dad's Farmers' Market, where she sold her paintings and raised an impressive £378.87 for her Dance school, 'LA Dance Fantastique' who pride themselves on their ethos of inclusivity.
Curriculum Maps
Home Learning
Daily 5-10 minutes of reading to an adult or older sibling and talking about what they have read.
Daily practising of phonics and/or spellings; we suggest 5 minutes.
Daily practising of numbers bonds and/or times tables: 3, 4, 8 + review 2, 5, 10. We suggest 5 minutes. This can include use of Times Tables Rock Stars.
History Week - Wb 22nd June
The children in Year 2 really enjoyed sharing their history learning with Year 6 this week. They worked very well and listened with eagerness when the older children were sharing their work with them too.
