Playtimes

At Cherry Tree, lunchtime is a chance to play, have fun, be active, try something new and spend time with friends.

To help make playtime enjoyable for everyone, our playgrounds and field are divided into different zones. Each zone has a different purpose and gives children opportunities to enjoy different types of play and activities.

Children can choose from a range of opportunities across the different areas, which may include active games, creative activities, building and construction, outdoor challenges, quieter activities, music, reading and computing.

Some activities are supported by adults and our pupil leaders, who help children get involved, learn new games and make sure everyone has the opportunity to join in.

Our library provides a calm and welcoming space where children can enjoy books, read with others and take part in reading activities.

Our Computing Room provides opportunities to develop digital skills, be creative, solve problems and work with others.
