  • Woodlands Cup - Girls Football

    Cherry Tree Girls Football Team took part in their first tournament, at Woodlands Cup Competition.  They played matches against Quilters, Lee Chapel, Bardfield and Greenstead.   They had a great time and were able to show off their skills, especially our goalkeeper, who was commended by staff and pupils from the other schools for the number of goals she stopped.

  • Berlesduna Football & Netball Tournaments 2023

    Berlesduna Football and Netball Tournament

     

    Year 5 and 6 children represented Cherry Tree at the Willows School in this year’s annual football and netball tournaments.  They played competitively and with good spirit; finishing in fourth place (just outside the medals).  All children enjoyed both tournaments with ‘fair play’ and good sportsperson ship being at the heart of all competitors.

    Congratulations and well done !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LEGO Robotics - workshops

    The LEGO Robotics workshops organised as part of our Design and Technology curriculum started on Tuesday, 20th September.  Thank you to parents who have supported this event. 

    Children who have already taken part had this to say about the activities:

    "It was an amazing experience because I learnt whilst having fun."

    "It was fun as I enjoyed making the cams work inside the monkey."

    "I liked it because we were trying to test things out; it's fun to try new things."

    "I liked it because I want to be an engineer and this felt like I was an engineer."

  • Essex Year of Reading

  • Y7 (Secondary school) applications

    Current Year 6 families are reminded that the Essex online system opens on 11th September for applications for Year 7 places for September 2021.  The closing date for applications is 31st October, 2020.  Please contact secondary schools for their 'open' days, virtual tours etc.
